@EVGrieve Famous Taxi Driver Film Location! Exploring The #EastVillage with a cool Belgium #filmcrew today picking up some #movie making magic #Scene The Bloody Shoot Up. #TaxiDriver The scuzzy ‘hotel’ is a house at 226 East 13th Street, between Second and Third Avenues. It’s been smartened up a lot, and the pillared frontage is gone. A few doors to the right, at 204 East 13th Street, and even more gentrified, you’ll find the doorway in which Iris’s pimp, Sport Harvey Keitel, hung out. One of my favorite #Directors #Scorsese naturally, uses real #NewYorkCity locations. Paul Schrader wrote the script in five days. Robert De Niro claimed that the final shootout scene took particularly long, because of bloody content. #MadeinNY #film #filming #behindthescenes #moviemaking movielocations #NewYork #2001films (at East Village)
