The US Environmental Protection Agency official range for the 2013 model year LEAF is 75 miles and rated the Leaf’s combined fuel economy at 115 miles per US Gallon of gasoline equivalent. As an all electric car, the Nissan Leaf produces no tailpipe pollution or greenhouse gas emissions at the point of operation, and contributes to reduced dependence on petroleum. Among awards and recognition, the Nissan Leaf won the 2010 Green Car Vison Award, the 2011 European Car of the Year, the 2011 World Car of the year, and the 2011-2012 Car of the year Japan.
With now almost 50,000 Leafs sold in the U.S., Nissan is working to accelerate sales with a free 2-year charging program in it’s top markets with at least 15 more to follow next year.
Nissan’s “No Charge to Charge” program offers a RDID-equipped EZ-Charge card that will be usable across four public networks operated by ChargePoint, Blink Network from Car Charging Group, AeroVironment and NRG eVgo. ENJOY THE ELECTRIC CAR RIDE!!!
