@MrCope2 Moving the Monday night energy! #Cope2 True Legend #BoweryMural always looking at the outside, Cope2 born in the South Bronx! The home, the motherland, the Mecca of hip hop. by ’88 the subway #graffiti era was dead and 100’s of writers that had been writing since day 1 kinda quit and just disappeared. Some got into positive things, some got into drugs selling and some got into using drugs, some went to prison and some passed away… I went through my own dramas in life, but I always kept on writing. In the late 80’s and early 90’s I got into painting permission walls. A lot of writers were getting into permission walls. Getting into productions was kinda cool, you know getting older and maintaining a family, doing legal walls was a lot less stressful. But I still did illegal shit here and there. I mean subways are in my blood, I was hitting them from time to time #MovingMedia moving what;s next I can taste the paint down below #Badass #StreetArtist #Mural #Bowery #LowerEastSide #EastVillage #film #filming #graffitiartist #StyleShow #Art #MadeinNY #NewYorkCity #2001films

Lehmann Maupin Galley the massive, immersive installation Via Negativa II, By Artist Lee Bul presents a labyrinth of corridors, adorned with fragmented reflective surfaces, through which viewers must make their way before ending their #journey in a central chamber lined with brilliantly #illuminated infinity mirrors. The installation provides an intense and disorienting experience that disrupts the viewer’s perceptual and cognitive bearings, and alludes to the tenets of apophatic philosophy, which posits that divine nature is beyond the under-standing of rational human mind and can only be comprehended by defining what it is not ‘the negative way’ rather than what it is.
Default World Dreaming One of the signifying qualities of Burning Man is that there is no television, cell phone services or internet signal. All connection within the 78,000 person community is done in real time and space, which creates moments of creative serendipity and openness. NewYork artist Taki Fey, explores this lack of social programing in his work. He states: “the television has the power to shape the belief systems of the majority of a nation, and thus is truly a piece of modern sorcery. The default world created by the television has become “reality” for a vast swath of the population” His GreenTV is a re-approprition of the old cathode ray television set. By unplugging it from it’s “source”, the “Green TV” tunes into the world of visions and dreams by turning its former screen into a mist filled terrarium that conjures a holographic of folkloric spirits.
@Gallery151 The Infinite ART Beat! Moving Media #Gallery151
The infinite ART Beat by Artist Justin Eastman shows us the potential depth of out love. While it appears to be shallow, we can see that the vessel has little depth, but when we peer inside, we can see that heart is infinite. The changing lights represents the cycle of our love throughout our lives and the infinite combinations that are possible. Presents Default World Dreaming! A group exhibition inspired by the BurningMan experience artwork pulsating flashing and colorful LED lights that are constantly changing. The original inspiration for this was from the artists fiancé, who over dinner said “when a group of people can hear or visualize someone’s heartbeat, the entire group will begin to syncopate with that heart beat visualization or sound”.
